At Nimes 2009 to test the dampening qualities of these rods we were encouraged to tap, well hit quite hard the end of a longrod on the floor, the result was that only a little of the vibration was felt the rest was absorbed by the rod do the same with similar competitors and you can feel and hear the high pitched vibration.
