Introducing the new Fiberbow 8.99 Barebow version (externally looks identical to the 5.99) and like the target version this is constructed out of total carbon, but unlike the target version it has been specifically designed to apeal to barebow archers and those that like a bit more weight in the handle. The handle has not just been made heavier the additional weight is located in the lower half of the riser to aid balance and give a different centre of gravity to the 5.99 offering a very steady well balanced bow (just as barebow archers like) for anyone shooting without stabilisation and for those that will shoot it with stabilisers additional options options when it comes to mass weight and balance.
This handle has an additional 240 grams of weight added (899 grams in total weight) and with the optional 160g weights (fitted to the steel limb bolts) you can personalise the centre of mass and the overall riser weight to 1050g still much lighter than most risers available today, so benefiting from all the atributes that make the 5.99 so popular.
Available Right or Left Handed and in either Black Shiny or Opaque.
How strong is it? The handle is subject to the most stringent testing, recently we had a enquiry from a customer who wanted to fit 80lb limbs and asked us if this would be ok, the answer from FB was yes the riser is tested and warrantied up to 100lb!!!!. Further to this at Nimes 2009 FB used the recurve handle to to create a one off compound bow, so you can see the answer is very strong certainly far more than most of us require.
