The Hoyt GMX is the latest top of the range riser from Hoyt. It seems that Hoyt have looked at what has made their risers great in the past and taken all the best bits and incorporated them in to this riser.
Well Derek has just taken delivery of his Fusion 25" RH GMX, first time shooting it last night (24/11) and clearly judging by his arrow groups the transition has been a smooth one. More to follow soon.
Even after a weeks break Derek still loves shooting this bow, which is borne out, by the tighter grouping and PB's.
Judging from others that have changed from the Helix and Nexus the transition is clearly an easy one, the only difference being that beacause the grip pressure point is now in line with the button, arrows are effectively 1/2" shorter but the design of the riser means they are not too short even if on the Nexus or Helix you had them cut to the front of the riser. This model is proving to be very popular.
From Hoyt....
The GMX features new Dynamic Flex Control- a flex tuning method that prevents top pocket twist and promotes a snappy shot reaction. It comes with a new grip patterned after the original GM/Avalon/Matrix grip pattern and also accepts the very popular Hoyt Ergo and Ortho grips. The GMX comes with a grip lateral shift feature (originally developed on Hoyt’s legendary Axis riser). This feature allows manipulation of the lateral pressure point for custom response. The relocated main stabilizer position promotes a neutral, linear shot response, while the trimmed shelf contour allows for a high-knuckle position as preferred by some coaches and shooting styles.
GMX assures ideal limb alignment with the latest generation of Hoyt’s ultra-reliable hardlock alignment system, with a finer-pitch limb bolt allowing smoother weight and tiller adjustment.
Available in three lengths to allow a perfect match for all draw lengths, GMX comes in a choice of Anodised and Custom Paint finishes.
The all-new 27” GMX-L (1402g) allows for up to a 72” bow length with Hoyt long limbs, for archers with draw lengths over 30 inches. 68-72” bow length range.
The 25” GMX-M (1304g) retains the world’s most successful riser architecture, originated by Hoyt in 1983 and imitated by all other manufacturers since. 66-70” bow length range.
The 23” GMX-S (1256g) gives shorter draw shooters a fully tunable and efficient setup without compromises. 64-68” bow length range.
