Simple 1 piece fibreglass bow, ideal for juniors to get a tast of archery. These items are NOT TOYS and require strict adult supervision.
For your own and other’s safety some suggested safety rules.
- Never draw a bow, even without an arrow, except when facing the target standing on the shooting line.
- Never aim a bow anywhere except at the target.
- Never start shooting until you are sure that there is no danger to others.
- Immediate compliance with the word FAST. It can be shouted by any archer who sees any sign of danger. As soon as you hear the word FAST stop shooting at once, bring your bow down and return the arrow to the quiver.
- Never go in front of the shooting line unless you are sure it is safe to do so.
- Never run, always walk towards the target and keep an eye out so as not to walk into or tread on any arrows that may have fallen short.
- Never stand behind an archer who is pulling arrows out of a target – you may get an arrow nock in the face.
- Never let go of a drawn bow without an arrow in it. The energy that usually causes an arrow to fly can seriously damage the limbs of a bow.
- Ensure that there is sufficient space behind the target (or Archery netting) for missed arrows to land safely, even the smallest bow listed here can easily lunch an arrow over 30 Meters.
- LEARN HOW TO SHOOT A BOW SAFELY BY ATTENDING A BEGINNERS COURSE RUN BY A CLUB OR PRO SHOP
- It is illegal in the UK to hunt with a Bow and Arrow.
- Use your commonsense, even these brightly coloured bows are classed as a weapon and can cause fatal injuries if not used correctly.
