Neil Harrington Longbows (Very Much Recommended)

Neil is well respected within the British Longbow Society and his bows have a special place in the hearts of those who own them. He is a regular competitor and winner at most flight and roving mark events held around the UK and his son is also a winner in his class, often out shooting many of the adults.

Neil started making longbows is 2003 and his fresh approach to this ancient weapon means that you get far more with each bow than just a shaped piece of wood. Neils speciality is flight shooting and his knowlege and expertise in this area and constant questioning as to how he can get more distance filters down to the design of his longbows (Don't get him started on his arrows 8 hours to make one competition standard war bow arrow and each of his competition flight arrows takes 5 hours and most of us thought Olympic/Compound target archery was technical). It is this knowledge and craftsmanship we believe that gives anyone who shoots one an distinct advantage. There are many variables but how many longbow archers can claim to have point of aim at 100 yards well with one of Neil's bows around 50-60lb, good shooting style, draw length and the right arrows this is a distinct possibility.

This is one of the few bows that is safe to be shot using 14 Strand Fast Flight Plus not a compromise flemish twist but an end loop string.

In his quest for greater distance and speed Neil has accumulated an enourmous amount of data on woods, laminates, arrows and designs, to the point that the results of every arrow he has shot are recorded. The benefit of all this knowledge can now be yours and Neil's longbows make great all round bows for target, field, clout, roving marks and flight.
