Please note: These bosses are made to our specification, they are NOT as hard as most yet still have the same stopping power and make it easier to remove your arrows.
The Standard version of the coiled straw target is universal and suitable for recurves, compounds and longbows . These bosses and the construction is unique to Perris and we have now improved the way in which these bosses are made, outwardly they look similar but have a softer frizzy look and the green band around the edge does not have any writing on it unlike some harder bosses available.They do have the same stopping power though, but now include an element of rice straw. It feels softer, less abrasive and makes the target butt slightly softer and easier to remove your arrows.
The so called compound version (although it is suitable for all types of bows and arrows) is slightly thicker to improve the stopping properties and wear rate.
